Sound Family Health

Sound Family Health was founded in April of 2009 by our four dedicated providers. Their goal was to create an environment where the patient comes first. With that goal in mind, our dedicated staff of support professionals strive to provide the best quality of care and experiences for our patients and their families.

Jessica Carrier, PA-C

Jessie Carrier is originally from Texas but recently made the leap to move to the Pacific Northwest to be with her significant other. Jessie received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Southwestern University in Georgetown, TX, where she was also a collegiate swimmer. She received her Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree from University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX.

She has 11 years of experience as a Family Medicine Physician Assistant with Baylor Scott & White in Waco, TX. She truly enjoys getting to know her patients on a personal level and collaborating with them to reach their health care goals.

She is looking forward to experiencing all that the Kitsap peninsula has to offer and becoming a part of the community. Outside of work, you can find her running Spartan races, working in the vegetable garden, or caring for her 7 rescue animals (3 dogs and 4 cats!)

Dr. Teresa Andersen

Dr. Teresa is originally from KC, MO but moved west with her family, ultimately graduating from Gonzaga University and then UW for medical school. She served 8 years in the Navy and then chose to stay in Kitsap County. She and Dr. Brad raised 2 children: Katherine and Dave. Although it is challenging to maintain a private practice in the era of big hospital medicine, Dr Teresa believes that a more personal approach leads to better health. When not working, Dr. Teresa enjoys keeping fit and spoiling her two dogs Koko and Zeus.

“My practice philosophy is one of collaboration. I believe a person’s health is primarily their responsibility. I see my role as being a patient advocate and helping determine best treatment options for the variety of diseases that occur.
