spring 2024 Newsletter

Happy Spring from your team at Sound Family Health!

If you have been in recently, you will notice that we are updating the clinic with some renovations! The entire interior of the clinic has been painted, we added new carpet last year, and now we are getting ready to replace our base trim and clinic seating! Thank you for your patience during this time. We are getting ready to celebrate our 15th anniversary since opening Sound Family Health. What an amazing accomplishment!

Reminders from your Doctor:

  • Our schedules are filling up quick, remember to schedule your Annual Physical/Wellness Exam in advance! This includes Sports Physicals and Well-Child Checks 😊 The staff does its best to mail out “recall” letters in advance for this reason. Please don’t ignore these letters. It’s important to us that we keep you up to date on routine screenings that you may need. Our goal is to keep you ALL healthy!

  • We must see you at least ONCE a year. If you have chronic conditions like high blood pressure, diabetes, or heart disease – we need to see you quarterly. If you are prescribed certain medications that require monitoring, we also typically need to see you more frequently. It is always recommended that you stop in at our front desk on your way out to schedule your next appointment.

  • Standard members must also be seen every 3 months for medication refills and monitoring. If you are a standard patient, healthy, and not on chronic medications, you can typically be seen yearly. Please discuss this with your specific provider if you have questions.

  • Please always bring your insurance card, identification, and co-pay to each appointment. We may not always need copies, but it’s great to have them handy in the event we do. If you are due for your annual membership payment, our reception team will request this as well.

  • When calling the office, please understand that we may be busy with patients! PLEASE LEAVE A MESSAGE. This will result in quicker response times from our staff. These messages appear automatically on our computers for review. If you do not leave a message, we struggle to respond.

  • And finally, “Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible.” – Dalai Lama

InCyte Diagnostics Lab Reminders:

  • InCyte Diagnostics is a separate organization from Sound Family Health, which means the billing goes through them.

  • They are open from 7:30am – 12:45pm and again from 1:45pm – 4:30pm. No appointment is necessary, they work off a first come, first serve basis.

  • They require current insurance cards and photo ID, please have this available for them.

  • Should you have questions regarding billing, please contact them first at 800-403-6749. If you need additional help regarding changing diagnosis codes, or resubmission of orders, please feel free to reach out to our billing department and we are happy to help.

  • You have the choice to use any  lab of your choice.

  • Should you want specific lab tests performed for your upcoming appointment, please call to discuss with your Medical Assistant. Often, we try and only order what we think will be covered by your insurance.

Upcoming Clinic Closures:

One last bit of exciting news! We believe that we have found a sustainable way to bring vaccinations back into our clinic for adult patients. We have been looking at multiple alternative solutions to determine how we can successfully do this again for the convenience of our patients. We have succeeded! Stay tuned on more details, but we believe we will be up and going with this over the next month 😊
